Legal
Terms of Use
The agreement between you and us for using LegacyCollect, including subscriptions and Social.
Draft
4 details in this document, marked “To confirm”, are still to be completed by LegacyCollect’s operator.
Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and [To confirm: operator’s legal name] (“we”, “us”), the operator of LegacyCollect. They apply to the LegacyCollect app and the service behind it. By using LegacyCollect you agree to them; if you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) also applies to LegacyCollect from the App Store: it governs your licence to use the app itself, and these Terms govern your account and your use of the service. If the two conflict about that licence, the Standard EULA applies.
The service
LegacyCollect lets you look up trading cards and sealed products — Pokémon first, and other games where the app offers them — see market prices and price history, keep a collection and a watchlist, scan cards, share your collecting in Social and, where available, ask for AI grade estimates. Some features need an account, and some need a LegacyCollect Pro subscription.
We keep improving LegacyCollect, so we may add, change or remove features. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly affect you, and if we ever close LegacyCollect, we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app where we reasonably can, so you can ask for a copy of your information.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account — or older, if the law where you live requires it. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
- Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away at support@legacycollect.app if you think someone else has used it.
- Your handle and display name must not impersonate anyone or mislead people about who you are, and must follow the Community Guidelines.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (your profile › Settings and account › Delete account). If you haven’t signed in recently, the app may first ask you to confirm it’s you.
LegacyCollect Pro subscriptions
LegacyCollect Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or annually and sold through Apple’s App Store. What Pro includes and its price in your currency are shown in the app before you buy. The Free plan has limits, also shown in the app.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase — or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the then-current price, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trial. The annual plan currently comes with a 3-day free trial for customers Apple considers eligible. You are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes the annual subscription and you are charged the annual price shown before you started it. Any unused part of a free trial ends if you buy a subscription.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings — on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions — or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your LegacyCollect account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles payments and refunds for App Store purchases under its own terms; we can’t issue them ourselves. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Offer codes. You can redeem an Apple offer code from the LegacyCollect Pro screen or in the App Store. Apple shows the offer’s terms before you redeem it; when the offer ends, the subscription renews at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your agreement before renewing at the new price.
- Changes to Pro. What Pro includes may change over time, but we won’t significantly reduce the Pro features you have paid for before your current period ends. If we ever have to — or if we stop offering Pro, or close your account when you haven’t broken these Terms — we will tell you in advance, and you will get a proportionate refund for the time you have paid for but can no longer use: through Apple’s refund process first, and directly from us if Apple doesn’t provide it.
Your content
“Your content” is what you add to LegacyCollect: your collection records and notes, your profile (handle, display name and bio), your posts, and the reports you send. You keep ownership of it.
So that we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, adapt (for example, to fit different screens) and display your content, and — for what you make public in Social — to show it to other people who use LegacyCollect. This licence lasts while your content is on LegacyCollect and ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies in routine backups (for up to 30 days) and records we keep as our Privacy Policy describes.
You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to share. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Community Guidelines
Before your first post, the app shows you our Community Guidelines and asks you to accept them. They are part of these Terms:
- Post what is real. Share what you really pulled, bought, traded for or were given. Never claim a pull that was not yours.
- Talk about cards, not people. No harassment, hate, threats or pile-ons. Disagree about a price, never about a person.
- Show, don’t deal. No selling, no arranging trades and no links. Social is for showing what you collect, not for deals.
- Keep it for everyone. Nothing sexual, violent or cruel. Collectors of every age are here.
- Report, don’t retaliate. Reports reach a person. A post several collectors report is hidden until it is reviewed, and breaking these guidelines can remove posts or a profile.
If we change the guidelines, the app asks you to accept the new version before you post again.
Using LegacyCollect properly
You agree not to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise objectionable content;
- use Social to sell, advertise or arrange trades, or post links or contact details to do so;
- post content that you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
- send spam, or make false or abusive reports;
- access LegacyCollect by automated means such as scrapers or bots, or copy its catalogue, prices or other content in bulk;
- get around limits, security or moderation, access another person’s account or information, or interfere with the service or the systems it runs on;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
Moderation, suspension and termination
We don’t watch everything people post, but we review reports promptly — normally within 24 hours — and may hide or remove content, limit features, remove a profile from Social, or suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or that puts other people, LegacyCollect or us at legal risk. Where it is reasonable to, we will tell you why. Other users are responsible for what they post.
You can stop using LegacyCollect and delete your account at any time. If we close your account, you can still cancel a subscription through Apple. The parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue — including the disclaimers, limits on liability and how disputes are handled — continue after an account is closed.
Prices, values and grade estimates
Prices, values, price history and charts in LegacyCollect come from third-party market sources — TCGplayer’s Market Price (read through TCGCSV), Cardmarket and TCGdex — and from our own daily records of them. Each price is shown with the source it came from; we don’t average sources or fill a gap with another source. Our own records begin on 18 September 2026 and have been kept daily since late September 2026, so price history covers only the days since then on which a source published a price, and can have gaps. They can be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed or out of date, and a value shown may not reflect a card’s condition, its exact printing or what it would actually sell for.
This product uses TCGplayer data but is not endorsed or certified by TCGplayer.
A value for a graded card is shown only where we hold recent completed sales from a source we are permitted to use. We hold none today, so no graded value is shown. Where the app offers a link to a grade’s listings on eBay, it opens eBay’s own search: those are asking prices set by sellers, not sales, and not a value from us.
Listings, sales and estimates. Where no source publishes a market price for an item, the app may show what it is listed for on a marketplace — the lowest and the median asking price, with the day they were read. Asking prices are not market prices or sales, and they are never added to your collection’s value. Where we are permitted to show completed sales, a chart may mark individual sales and draw an estimate from them — for example, the median of a week’s sales — each labelled with its source and with the sales and dates it measured. An estimate is not a market price, and we never join one source’s figures to another’s.
Other currencies. Prices come from each source’s own market and currency. If you choose to see values in another currency, they are converted at the European Central Bank’s reference rate — a whole chart at the rate of one stated day, and what you paid at the rate of the day you bought it. Converting changes the money a value is shown in, not the market it comes from; where no usable rate exists, the value shows a dash.
They are for general information only. They are not an appraisal, an offer to buy or sell, or financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and you should not rely on them alone when buying, selling, insuring or grading anything.
A grade estimate is an automated opinion, given as a range. It is not a grade from, or endorsed by, any grading company, and a card can grade differently.
If you spot a mistake, tell us with “Something wrong here?” on the card’s or product’s page.
Our rights, and other people’s trademarks
The LegacyCollect app, its design, software and text belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app as Apple’s Standard EULA allows, for your own non-commercial purposes; these Terms give you no other rights in it.
LegacyCollect is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., the publisher of any other game named in the app (including Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Bandai, Ravensburger, Disney, Bushiroad and Square Enix), TCGplayer, TCGCSV, TCGdex, Scryfall, Cardmarket, eBay, PSA, CGC, Beckett, SGC, TAG or ACE. Pokémon and all related names and images, the names and images of every other game, and every other trademark mentioned, belong to their respective owners. Card and product images are shown to identify items. A graded holder drawn in the app is an illustration, not a grading company’s label or certificate. Pokémon card data is from TCGdex.
Other services
LegacyCollect links to and relies on services we don’t control, such as Apple’s App Store, marketplaces and grading companies’ websites. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them. We don’t sell anything ourselves except LegacyCollect Pro: a listing you open is sold by someone else, under that marketplace’s terms, and we are not a party to the sale.
Paid links. Some links to marketplaces or grading companies may be affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Every such link is marked as a paid link where it appears, and commissions play no part in the prices LegacyCollect shows.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep LegacyCollect accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied — including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement — and we don’t promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that information won’t be lost. Keep your own records of anything important to you.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill; and our total liability for all claims relating to LegacyCollect is limited to the greater of what you paid for LegacyCollect Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50.
These limits don’t apply to liability that cannot be limited by law — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and, if you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, they don’t apply to loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
Apple
Apple’s Standard EULA sets out Apple’s position, and these Terms are consistent with it:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for LegacyCollect and its content, and for maintaining and supporting it; Apple has no obligation to do either.
- If LegacyCollect fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for it.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim relating to LegacyCollect or your use of it — including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection or privacy law, and claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile carrier’s.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to us: [To confirm: operator’s legal name], [To confirm: postal address], support@legacycollect.app.
Governing law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please email support@legacycollect.app first — most problems can be sorted out quickly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [To confirm: governing law], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes about them or LegacyCollect will be decided by [To confirm: courts for disputes]. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you that right, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring proceedings in its courts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when LegacyCollect changes or the law requires it. The current version is always in the app and at legacycollect.app/terms, with its date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using LegacyCollect after that, the updated Terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, stop using LegacyCollect and delete your account.
General
These Terms, with the Community Guidelines and the documents they mention, are the whole agreement between you and us about LegacyCollect. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a part straight away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to whoever takes over LegacyCollect, who must continue to honour them.
